MIDDLE KEYS CONCERT ASSOCIATION

OUTREACH

SCHOOL PROGRAMS : 

• Switlik Elementary School
• Marathon Middle and High School
• Offered when one of our season’s musical groups is available.
• Previous programs have featured pianists, a string quartet, and brass quintets

PARENT TICKETS:  
Board policy: 

• allows students under 19 to attend at no charge
• parents or adult providing transportation must pay for their ticket. 
• Each music teacher is given complimentary Parent Tickets
• Allowing those with limited resources to accompany their children

MUSIC TEACHER TICKETS:  
MKCA provides season tickets to the music teachers at Switlik Elementary School and the band director at Marathon  Middle and High School.  
This encourages interaction with their respective students both at the concert and in the classroom.

BAND BOOSTERS:  
MKCA encourages an active band and music program in our schools. 
We support them through a monetary contribution when possible, plus a number of season tickets to attract donors during their fund raising campaign.

SUMMER MUSIC CAMP:  MKCA contributed funds for student scholarships during the early years of this program development. This summer music and cultural program involves many students from both schools in the Middle Keys as well as students throughout the Keys.
