FLORIDA KEYS CONCERT ASSOCIATION
EDUCATION:
“…to foster and encourage appreciation of music and the teaching of:

- music appreciation
in the schools of Marathon and its surrounding area…”
Article II no.4 of the Florida Keys Concert Association Constitution
The Association actively supports Education:
SCHOLARSHIP:
- Since 2003, FLKCA has given a $1000 scholarship
- to a graduating senior
- who plans to pursue a college or university degree in music or the “arts”-theater, dance.
Applications to:
- Ms Robin Lynne, College and Career Counselor at Marathon High School, 305-289-2480 ext 55307.
Process:
- Interviews by the FLKCA Scholarship Committee
- two selections at the interview
- Recipient announced at High School Class Night .
- Required: submit a final report on their college experience at the end of the first year
Previous recipients have attended:
- Florida State University,
- Florida Atlantic University,
- University of Central Florida
- New World School of the Arts.
